I’ve been working on a bunch illustrations and layouts for vinyl projects these days. Asbestos Records is reissuing a bunch of older albums and has been gracious enough to offer me the design work. I’m quite fond of working in the larger record packaging formats, and Asbestos has been running vinyl color variations to complement the art (and to send collectors into a frenzy). One of my recent favorites is a reissue of Zombies vs Robots!, an album by The Flaming Tsunamis.
The cover differs from the original CD release, which I designed for the Flaming Tsunamis a few years back.
With the reissue, Asbestos opted to use a hoodie design that I also created around the time of the original CD release.

Zombies vs Robots! comes in the Standard Edition (pictured above), as well as in the Screen Printed Fanboy Editions, featuring an all zombie cover on green vinyl or an all robot cover on gray vinyl. A big nod to Pirates Press, the plant responsible for pressing the vinyl, a craft in itself. They have helped in creating a great sounding and sharp looking release. Weekly, they select some of their favorite pressing jobs and feature them on their blog. Here they feature Zombies vs Robots!.
